If you are looking to book driving lessons with another provider, we strongly suggest you don't take up any package offers until you have experienced their standard of tuition. Some businesses will try and sell you 5-10 lessons straight away over the phone and will not provide a refund if you don't like the instructor. They may be a solo operator like myself so you have little option if you're not happy.
The reality is I'm unable to estimate how many lessons it would take for a student to pass until after their first lesson. Most students can be taught the basics of what is required in 3-5 lessons, depending on whether they have driven around private property for years, or it's literally their first time driving behind the wheel.
Unless you specifically want to book a lesson package from the outset, I recommend having one lesson with Adept to start with. If you like the standard of tuition provided, you then only have to pay the difference between that first lesson (of which payment is required up front), and the lesson package you decide on. That way you can be assured the student is happy with their instruction without losing your money with another business if they're not.
Please also remember that learner drivers are eligable for one free (one hour) Keys2Drive lesson sponsored by the Commonwealth Government. I am the only instructor based in the Yamba/Maclean/Iluka geographical areas accredited under that program to provide the K2D lesson pakage.
The only catch - the supervising driver has to be present for the duration of the one hours lesson.
You can find more information on the Keys2Drive free lesson HERE.
